TONI
True resonance, captured live

With Convolution Resonators for each string, Toni feels alive,

and responds like an acoustic instrument.

THE MECHANICS

Convolution Resonator Library

Discrete IR models for each string, captured using a US patent pending method. This not only adds overtones, it allows string interaction. Chords bloom and evolve. Each string has unique resonant behavior, faithfully capturing differences in resonance due to overlapping string location, tuning, age of strings, and more.

3D Release Matrix

With 36 release velocity layers spread across multiple release velocity planes, Toni is built to accurately reproduce lingering resonances and mechanical noises when keys are lifted. This enables staccatos that sparkle, smooth trills, and delicate slow releases.

Coherent Imaging

All notes, mechanical noises, and resonance IRs are captured through the same minimalist mic array. This prevents mechanical noise from sounding detached, prevents image drift, and allows Toni to realistically scale in size with reverb and compression.
